Luxury Oslo Itinerary: Discover Norway’s Chic Capital in Style
A Curated Stay in Oslo’s Most Iconic Hotels
I’ve always loved discovering new places — there’s something special about arriving in a new country and getting a feel for its culture, people, and pace of life. For me, it’s not just about beautiful hotels (though I do love those), but about how a place makes you feel. Whether it’s a spa tucked away in a quiet corner, a cosy café, or a view you won’t forget, I’m always drawn to experiences that feel considered and connected to their surroundings. Oslo brings all of that together — a city that blends Nordic design, natural beauty, and a quietly confident sense of style.
Why These Hotels?
When I plan a trip, I look for places that feel thoughtfully designed — hotels that not only look beautiful but offer a genuine sense of place. For this Oslo itinerary, I’ve chosen three very different properties that each show a different side of the city.
Amerikalinjen stood out for its history and location. Right in the heart of Oslo, it’s full of character and beautifully restored, with a great sense of energy and connection to the city’s past.
Sommerro caught my eye for its style and creativity. The Art Deco interiors are stunning, and the wellness spaces — especially the rooftop pool and old-school spa — give the hotel real depth. It’s one of those places that’s as much for locals as it is for guests.
The Thief is bold and modern, with a slightly edgy feel I really like. It’s right on the water in one of Oslo’s most design-forward neighbourhoods, and it has a brilliant mix of architecture, art, and calm.
Each stay offers something different — and together, they make for a well-rounded and memorable way to experience the city.

Flights with British Airways via London
The striking silhouette of Oslo’s Barcode District reflects in the still waters of the fjord — a modern architectural marvel at dusk.
Getting There
Travel in style with British Airways from Edinburgh to Oslo, connecting smoothly through London Heathrow. With daily departures and a flight time of just over two hours from London to Oslo Gardermoen, this is an easy and elegant start to your Nordic adventure.
From the plaza of the Oslo Opera House, the mirrored façade offers a surreal reflection of the city’s historic skyline.
