Oslo Uncovered: A Weekend of Five-Star Stays and Fjordside Culture
As I’ve said many, many times before, I love to visit new places for different experiences, none more so than visiting a new country too. I’ve never been to Norway, so when looking for a short weekend trip, I opted to visit Norway and my first choice was Oslo.
You can read all about the full itinerary here, why I chose the hotels I did, and what I planned to do when there.
Read on to find out all about the hotels I visited during my time in Oslo, the things I did experience-wise, and also please do keep an eye out for all the usual detailed blogs I will write:

Which hotel to choose and why?
I’m sure Oslo will not be my only destination in Norway, there are many other places I would like to visit here too like:
🌄 Bergen - Charming Hanseatic city framed by mountains and fjords — gateway to the Western Fjords.
🏞️ Geirangerfjord - A UNESCO-listed fjord known for dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and spectacular viewpoints.
🧊 Tromsø - The Arctic capital — ideal for winter adventures, Northern Lights, and midnight sun experiences.
🚂 Flåm - Famous for the scenic Flåm Railway and deep fjord landscapes.
❄️ Lofoten Islands - A remote archipelago with jagged peaks, fishing villages, and stunning coastal scenery.
🐋 Ålesund - Art Nouveau port town, also a base for wildlife safaris and fjord cruises.
🛶 Sognefjord - Norway’s longest and deepest fjord — perfect for boat trips and dramatic landscapes.
🎿 Lillehammer - Charming mountain town known for winter sports and Olympic legacy.
🏔️ Jotunheimen National Park - A dream for hikers and nature lovers — home to Norway’s highest peaks.
🚘 Atlantic Ocean Road - One of the world’s most scenic drives — perfect for a luxury road trip.
🐧 Spitsbergen (Svalbard) - For the truly adventurous — Arctic expeditions, polar bears, and glaciers.
