Indulgent Opulence Unveiled: A Detailed Exploration of the Historic Hotel Kämp Helsinki - An Exclusive Review
Welcome to my review of Hotel Kämp; a stunning 5-star hotel located in central Helsinki. Being part of Leading Hotels of the World, a favourite collection of mine, and realising where it was located as well as having a spa, that made me sold on where we should book for our stay in Finland’s capital city.
The Adria: A Comprehensive Guide to Staying in One of London’s Boutique Luxury Townhouses
Stepping into the Adria Hotel in London is like embarking on a luxurious journey through time and elegance, where every moment promises comfort, charm, and an unforgettable experience. This is my review of The Adria Hotel; a stunning 19th Century 5-star townhouse boutique hotel located in South Kensington, London. The location was good and the townhouse afforded a small boutique atmosphere with only 24 rooms and suites across the upper four levels of this white painted Georgian house.t
Hotel Las Majadas Pirque: Wineland’s Chilean Charm Unveiled
Welcome to my review of Hotel Las Majadas, Pirque; located in the wine region on the outskirts of Santiago Chile. Read below to find out everything you need to know before your next trip to Chile.

Nestled in the heart of Chilean Patagonia, The Singular Hotel is not just a retreat; it's an immersive journey into unparalleled luxury and untamed natural beauty. From the moment one sets foot into this architectural marvel, a sense of grandeur interwoven with Patagonian charm unfolds. As if painted by the region's dramatic landscapes, this historical gem effortlessly marries sophistication with an adventurous spirit. Prepare to embark on an opulent odyssey, where each moment transcends the ordinary, and every detail embodies the essence of exclusivity and excellence.
Exquisite Escapes: Exploring The Singular Santiago - A Hotel Review Journey.
Welcome to an unparalleled fusion of elegance and modernity nestled in the heart of Santiago, Chile - The Singular, where luxury meets cultural sophistication.
Ubud Unveiled: A Luxurious Retreat at Capella Bali – A Hotel Review
Capella Hotels first came to my notice when they used to operate the Capella Pedregal resort in Cabo, Mexico. Capella is a small chain (which also incorporates the Patina brand) across mainly the Far East and Maldives and as soon as I saw the tented experience becoming featured at Capella Ubud I knew it was somewhere I wanted to visit.
Chablé Maroma Mexico - Redefining Wellness on Riviera Maya
Looking for a relaxing fortnight in Mexico before heading further to the USA and Palm Springs for Modernism Week, we first visited Cartesiano in Puebla before travelling up to the Yucatán Peninsula for two Chablé Hotels.
Indulgence Personified: A Luxurious Escape at One Aldwych - A Leading Hotels of the World Review
There is the saying “Location, location, location” that I often use in hotel reviews or blog posts, and I think One Aldwych has to be one of the best examples of why that phrase can be so important. The hotel is so easily accessible, this trip we took the train and it was a very short taxi ride from King’s Cross station, and would equally be very easy by underground (the Tube) too had there not been a strike on the day we arrived.
Hotel Review: Ponta dos Ganchos, Gov. Celso Ramos, Brazil.
Recognised as the most exclusive beach resort in Brazil, Ponta dos Ganchos is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World portfolio. The bungalows are carefully distributed throughout the resort on a private peninsula surrounded by two working fishing villages and an emerald sea. Privacy and comfort assures guests a unique stay.
Artistry and Elegance: A Review of The Fife Arms
Having had to cancel a trip to Positano in Italy at short notice due to the change in Covid-19 travel restrictions, we decided to look for somewhere within the UK and opted for a two-centre short break between Gleneagles and The Fife Arms (you can read my full review on The Gleneagles Hotel here).
Unveiling Gleneagles Hotel: An Iconic Retreat - A Comprehensive Review of Scottish Heritage
Our stay, booked through Leading Hotels of the World, was quite a last minute booking having had to cancel Le Sirenuse in Positano (Amalfi Coast, Italy) due to changes in Italian legislation regarding Covid-testing for UK arrivals. I had accumulated a number of points through the Leaders Club membership, so paid cash for the first night then booked a couple of extra nights using points.
Hotel Review: Palace Elisabeth, Hvar Heritage Hotel, Croatia.
We had such a wonderful hotel experience here - as well as this summarised review I also plan to post another blog detailing and contrasting with our stay at the other LHW property we visited on the same trip, the equally impressive Hotel Villa Dubrovnik.
Hotel Review: Hotel Villa Dubrovnik, Croatia.
After researching which countries were accessible and not requiring a quarantine on the return to the UK, we opted for our first post-lockdown trip to be Croatia (you can check out the full itinerary here). I very quickly opted for a two-centre trip, flying to Dubrovnik with British Airways first then travelling onto Hvar by ferry.
Hotel Review: Gran Melia Palacio De Los Duques, Madrid, Spain.
Having not long been in Madrid for a long weekend, staying at the Gran Hotel Inglés (which was fantastic too), I wanted to try somewhere different to write up another hotel review on my website. In the heart of Madrid behind its Elizabethan-style façade, the Gran Meliá Palacio de los Duques boasts a modern design and facilities with grand architectural splendour.
Hotel Review: The Vines Resort & Spa, Mendoza, Argentina.
Located in the heart of Argentina’s premier wine growing region, just south of Mendoza, The Vines Resort & Spa is surrounded by 1,500 acres of private vineyard estates. I was first attracted to it through its membership of Leading Hotels of the World, and it did not disappoint. It’s in a great location, fairly easily accessible and has just the best views towards the Andes mountains.
Hotel Review: San Clemente Palace Kempinski, Venice, Italy.
Having stayed in the city on our last trip, this time we were looking for an alternative. I initially, as I invariably do, check out which Leading Hotels of the World properties there are in any location, soon spotting this Kempinski property located on an island just minutes away from Piazza San Marco by complimentary boat.
Hotel Review: Baglioni Hotel Luna, Venice, Italy.
The location here is just exceptional - we got a direct water taxi from the airport right to the hotel doorstep (this transfer option isn’t cheap, but it’s an amazing way to arrive into Venice). The Baglioni Hotel Luna is apparently the oldest hotel in Venice, being housed in a 12th-Century Palazzo.
Hotel Review: Rocco Forte Hotel Amigo, Brussels.
The main purpose of this trip was really to stay (again) in the incredible Belgian city of Bruges, but with British Airways changing connecting flight times a few months before our visit we decided to travel the night before to Brussels and stay over before travelling onto Bruges the following day.
Hotel Review: Hotel Four Seasons Las Vegas, USA.
Having booked to go to Palm Springs in February for Modernism Week, we were looking for somewhere to visit around California/Nevada before flying home from LAX airport in Los Angeles.
Hotel Review: Hotel Sacher Wien (Vienna), Austria.
As always when looking to book a hotel, my first go to place is Leading Hotels of the World (https://www.lhw.com) - there were two LHW hotels in Vienna; Hotel Grand Wien and Hotel Sacher Wien.
