Explora Journeys Ships: A Guide to the Fleet

Explora Journeys is building a new generation of ultra-luxury ships, designed to feel far closer to a refined boutique hotel at sea than a traditional cruise. The fleet is intentionally consistent in concept, with each ship offering an all-suite, oceanfront experience focused on space, design and a more relaxed pace of travel.

Rather than creating dramatically different ships, the approach is to refine and evolve a single design — meaning the overall experience remains familiar, whichever vessel you choose.

The Explora Fleet

• Explora I

  • Launched in 2023, Explora I is the first ship in the fleet and sets the tone for the brand. It introduced the core concept of spacious, all-suite accommodation, generous outdoor decks and a calm, residential atmosphere throughout.

• Explora II

  • Launched in 2024, Explora II builds on the same design and layout, with only subtle refinements. The experience remains consistent, allowing guests to choose based on itinerary rather than ship differences.

• Explora III

  • Launching in July 2026, and I’m booked on it,, Explora III marks the next phase of the fleet’s development, with a transition towards LNG-powered propulsion. While the overall concept remains unchanged, this represents a shift towards more sustainable operations.

• Explora IV

  • Expected in 2027, Explora IV continues the same design philosophy, further refining the onboard experience while maintaining the consistency that defines the brand.

• Explora V & VI

  • Planned for later this decade, these future ships will complete the initial expansion of the fleet. As with earlier vessels, they are expected to follow the same core principles, with incremental improvements rather than major redesigns.
